An Englishman in Verona

I heard a rumour that Monday is a holiday in England because we’re better at Rugby than anybody else. However I can't find any stories about it online so I guess it's not true. You may think it silly to have a public holiday just 'cause we won a sporting competition but the Italians (and plenty of others) are having the day off on Monday to celebrate Mary conceiving the cult leader Jesus without any prior nookie; now that sounds silly. Anyway, I’m taking the opportunity the long weekend presents to do some travelling. This means there (probably) won’t be any new blogging here until Tuesday. I’m off to Slovenia; have a nice weekend.
